This project involves the modernisation of both passive and active communications infrastructure within a live, fully operational building. The works will deliver a high-performance Integrated Communications Network to support the next generation of smart building technologies.
The upgraded network will form the backbone for critical building systems, including Building Management Systems (BMS), access control, vertical transport, security, and other IP-based services. By consolidating these systems onto a single, scalable network, the building is positioned to improve operational efficiency, enhance tenant experience, and enable future technology integration.
From a Comtex perspective, delivering within a brownfield environment introduces an added layer of complexity. All works will be undertaken within a live, fully operational building, requiring careful coordination to maintain continuous operation of tenant services and critical infrastructure. This includes integration with legacy systems, management of live network transitions, and ensuring uptime across essential building platforms throughout the upgrade.
